Anne fuses glass ornaments from her studio in Kelso.
She uses a special type of glass to create a variety of pictures, ornaments, bowls, jewellery, lights and sculptures. She loves to experiment, try new things and generally just have fun with glass, finding it very versatile and colourful.
Stephen has been running his small business umbellifer.co.uk since 2018, selling his botanical and nature inspired artworks and cards to gift shops, galleries and gardens throughout the UK. He works in pencil and ink and adds colour by painting digitally to create his distinctive style.
Fiona's work emerges from her fascination with intricate and flowing organic forms, linked to the sea and seashore. Beginning with close observation drawings, she uses hand-building techniques - slabbing, pinching and coiling - and a variety of clays to create decorative and/or functional pieces in 3D or relief.
Denise has 10 flocks of rare breed sheep and does her own shearing and grading of the fleece. How each fleece handles decides what it will be used for, either felted, woven or as stuffing for cushions. The fleece is made entirely by Denise into woven or felted rugs, cushions or scarves. 100% ethical, traceable, renewable and sustainable.
Rachel trained as a Fine Artist (Printmaking) and completed her post graduate studies at Glasgow School of Art. Her current work primarily involves two mediums: scraperboard and lino. Rachel utilises her designs in cards, prints, fabrics, coasters and decorative papers. Her garden is her biggest inspiration and she enjoys the process of selecting specimens, sketching them, developing the design and capturing the colours. She lives and works in Birgham in the Scottish Borders.
Born from a lifelong love of herbalism, traditional soap making and the healing power of nature, I create unique and exquisite, all-natural plant-based soap enriched with therapeutic essential oils, botanicals and natural mineral extracts.
Linda Scott-Robinson uses a variety of mediums to capture the vibrancy of light, colour and movement in the natural world. Her studio-based work is inspired by outdoor sketches and photographs and the momentary glimpses of colour, light and shadow that grab her attention. She tries not to control her work too much, preferring instead to let the work develop organically with spontaneous marks and loose brush strokes.
Clair has been working with ceramics for over twenty years having graduated from Nottingham Trent with a decorative Arts degree. She loves to make in slightly unconventional ways and enjoys introducing other materials into the ceramics making process: paper fibres, old lace and fabrics. Working mainly with white earthenware Clair's work ranges from the large scale “Lasting Impressions” mosaic at the Margaret Kerr Unit to decorative hand painted tiles and colourful horizon vessels.
Pat makes unique and organic jewellery, employing lost wax casting and fabrication techniques, often combining gold and silver with precious and semi-precious gemstones and beads.
Create is committed to showcasing some of the best artists and makers in the Kelso and Scottish Border area. Our shop will have regular guest artists whose work is of the finest quality.
Joining us for April 2026!
Rolinke Bremer is a self taught artist and writer using versatile media. Her art making is mainly for herself, meant to be a reflection of her own deeper processes. During the years she started to listen more and more to the call of the Land and to the sacred stories embedded in the soil and all that lives. Her artwork shows the translations of her connection with the Earth and her narratives. As she is working with different individuals in nature, every new narrative will look completely different, and every new story may come alive through different media and techniques. Rolinke hopes that, with these narratives, she can show people more of the wild heart of the land, and through that, more of their own wild souls.

Patrick is a craftsman working in Kelso in the Scottish Borders. After starting out as an engineering patternmaker and cast metals technologist, he has worked all his life with wood. He makes a broad range of items, from chopping and charcuterie boards, yarn bowls, turned platters, lidded boxes, rolling pins, vases with glass liners; in fact, anything In Wood.
He is happy to discuss commissions. Recent examples are two swings in yew, a large segmented clock in four different woods and a one metre charcuterie board that is perfect for parties.
